Today, I logged into my Blogger account for the first time in a month. It's hard to believe that I've been so busy with child care that there hasn't been a moment for uploading photos and writing about our days, but somehow that's true. I'm thankful that we've made some tweaks to our routine this week in a way that is allowing me a bit more down time. Nevertheless, it's still a newborn season, the beginning of school, and the opening of a new chapter in life. So it remains to be seen where blogging will fall on my personal priority list once things shake out.
One of the things we have been doing over the last month is soccer. Big Brother and Little Brother are both playing; for Little Brother it's the first ever experience of a "team." By "team," I mean that he takes to the field in a fancy polyester jersey alongside a troop of other three year olds and does a variety of instructional drills that give him a sense of playing soccer. Half of the children wear yellow and half wear red, and the parents and coaches all call their playing time a "game," though of course it isn't. Little Brother typically crashes about two thirds of the way through this game, at which point we give him lots of hugs and encouragement and then chuckle to ourselves. Because the whole thing really is incredibly cute. And totally genius. He's so proud to have a sport that is all his own.
Baby girl, if you're wondering, typically snoozes through the whole thing. She's pretty used to sleeping in the car seat. Bless her heart.
I hope to see you here again soon. I'm thinking that if I keep things short, a few blog entries every once in a while won't seem so impossible...right?:) I sure hope so. I miss this place.
Happy Wednesday, y'all.

Hang in there!
