Happy Monday, friends! We've had a fairly run-of-the-mill weekend here in sweltering Hotlanta--a few casual meals out, a sweet baby shower, and one lazy, summer evening lounging in some friends' backyard with a box of mini drumsticks (the creamy kind), sticky-faced kiddos, and crickets. Minus the oppressive heat, I think its all just how summer should be.
I've been sewing a bunch this week and have a fun tutorial coming for you soon. In the meantime, here are a few of the things that have me excited and inspired...
My favorite local women's shop is now online!
Gorgeous abstract paintings by Michelle Armas, and tips for getting the look yourself (without the price tag)
Pancake batter you really can write with
Art materials for toddlers
Fantastic color-block dress refashion (I'm loving the neon trend)
An easy way to make graphic fabric pieces
Colored pencil jewelry
Ah, teepees....one day I will get up the courage to make you.
And finally, an incredible story of God's provision (through photography!) for one family with a desire to adopt. It's also a wonderful example of God using his children's gifts to glorify Himself. Ashley's photos of her precious family were one of the first things that inspired me to pick up a camera!
I'm off to spend a special morning with Big Brother. I hope your day is exceptional, too!
p.s. The pic above is yet another image of our trip to the beach. I couldn't help but share it--have you ever seen preschoolers looking so tough?:)
